“True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.” – Arthur Ashe.
According to Military.com, Veterans Day was originally called Armistice Day, and it always falls on November 11th, which was the signing of the armistice that ended WWI. The name was changed in 1954 to recognize veterans of all wars.
We are thankful for all our veterans today and every day. Thank you for your service! Photo by Topline Image.
