Meet Kendra Koebel and “Biscuit,” partners in speed events for the past two years for the Lakeshore Equestrian Team of the Michigan Interscholastic Horse Association. Kendra, a Junior, is celebrating her seventh season of riding for the team.
“This photo was taken at Region A Regional Event held in Berrien Springs, Michigan, at the Berrien County Fairgrounds, September 28 and 29th, 2024,” says Chasity Koebel, who is also the coach for Kendra’s team. “High school equestrian team competition is a different side of horses where you’re not just in the ring for yourself – you’re in it for your team. It teaches equine riders good teamwork and builds wonderful friendships with other equine riders. I think every high school rider should experience it.”
Thank you to Chastity for the fabulous photo and glimpse inside high school equestrian team competition. If you have a great photo of the day, please email it to us: Delores.Kuhlwein@EquineChronicle.com.
