Josh Weakly and Hippiesandkowboys Take Amateur Grand Champion Stallions At Congress

Josh Weakly and Hippiesandkowboys have had a long partnership prior to today.
Before they took the Grand Champion title in Amateur Grand Champions at the 2024 All American Quarter Horse Congress, they also won the Champion title in the Amateur 3-year-old Stallion Halter Class earlier in the day.
“We’ve had Hippiesandkowboys since he was a baby. We’ve shown him every year, starting with weanlings, then we showed the yearlings, two-year-old, and then in the 3-year-olds today. He’s done good for us the whole time!” says Weakly.
Part of what makes Hippiesandkowboys such a great halter horse is his personality.
“For a stud, he’s really great-minded, so he shows good because of that. He’s a pleasure to be around, especially for a stud! That’s a big part of why we’ve kept him—I’ve actually never shown a stud this old. He’s got a really good mind, which makes it all a lot more fun!” says Weakly.
After Congress, they have their sights set on the World Show.
“We’ll show him at the World Show here in a couple weeks, and then we’ll see what happens!” says Weakly.
