Around the Rings – 2023 CPHA Spin to Win Show of the Year

The California Paint Horse Association just wrapped up its April POR at Murieta Equestrian Center in Rancho Murieta, California, held April 26-30, 2023.
The POR is an APHA Top Twenty Show with APHA, AQHA, NSBA classes, with 8 judges, 4 AQHA judges and all-breed judges.
April 26-28 show judges: Teresa Pelton, Janette Dublin, Sally Jo Freud, and Pam Scott.
April 28-30 show judges: Mike and Robbin Jung, Jim Edwards and Linda Long.
The name of the game for the Spin to Win show is fun, with Sterling Saddles given away randomly (one per day over 5 days), and a chance to spin the wheel for prizes, plus daily drawings, $500 cash, and Trainer Cash – $500 given daily to a trainer each day who brought 5 or more horses. All in total, the show gave away over $25,000 in awards and prizes!!
The show also celebrated with one of the favorite items for horse lovers: food! They had tacos and margaritas on April 26th, a Hot Dog party on Friday, April 28th, and pizza on Saturday, April 29th.
