Perfecting your Spin – North Hall East at 1:00 pm

“Horses have given me everything I have,” Bob says. “Quarter Horses have helped make me what I am. They have been my life’s work and I owe them everything.”

Learning each step along the way, Bob has become one of the industry’s best-known all-around horsemen. He has trained champions in AQHA, NRHA, NRCHA, NCHA, and other associations, including Major Bonanza, Major Investment, The Major Leaguer, Mist N Smoke, Smoke Em Okie, Wright On, Smart Lil Calboy, Smart Zanolena, and Chics Magic Potion. Bob also won the World’s Greatest Horseman on Paid By Chic in 2000 and Light N Fine in 2007.

Already inducted into the NRCHA Hall of Fame, where he became a million dollar rider while serving on the judges committee and executive board, Bob is a founding member of AQHA Professional Horsemen’s Committee. In 1995, he became the first AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year, has been an AQHA judge for 19 years, and has served on the judges committee since 2009.

An AQHA director from Oregon for more than 10 years, Bob and wife Dana spent 18 years on their ranch at Temecula, California, then recently relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, where they also continue developing and marketing saddles, tack, and bits.

Bob has had many of the horse industries leaders work for him or come to train with him. To name a few….Todd Bergen, Andrea Fappani, Duane Latimer, Clinton Anderson, Pat Parelli, and John Lyons.

AQHA Trail- Navigating  the Course

Arena 5a – south half  at 2:00 pm

Ryan and Andrea Kail own and operate Kail Quarter Horses in Cave Creek, AZ.  They have 2 boys, Lane and Carter, who are both involved with showing.  Ryan and Andrea work diligently to provide you the best prepared horse so when the time comes to show, you will be ready to achieve success. Their training styles complement each other to make the perfect training team for both the horse and rider. The duo has found great success in the Open arena while their clients have found huge success in the Youth, Amateur, Select and Novice arenas.

 

Laurel Walker Denton

Ranch Trail – Covered Arena 3 at 3:00 pm

Laurel Walker Denton, raised on the Bar U Bar Ranch in Skull Valley, Arizona, grew up riding horses and working cattle. Laurel has spent her entire life in the show ring, earning points in fourteen different events. Today her focus is on training Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail horses. Laurel has been at the top of the AQHA World show in Ranch Riding since its beginning, winning a World Championship and Third place in 2017, Reserve World Champion and Third in 2019, as well as numerous Top Five, Top Ten and Finalist awards. Making it back in the finals in every class at the 2019 World Show, including three in the Sr Ranch Riding, was an amazing accomplishment.

An AzQHA Past President, Laurel is also currently editor in chief of The Arizona Quarter Horse magazine, which she volunteers her time to the Arizona Quarter Horse Association.  She served as an AQHA Director for 17 years, is currently a Director At Large and a member of the AQHA Show Committee. An AQHA judge since 1996, Laurel has judged the all of the AQHA World Shows, Open, Amateur, Select and Youth. She is also an NRCHA judge.

Laurel and her husband Barry are proud to own and operate the Bar U Bar Ranch, which has been in the family since 1945.
