Pleasure Versatility Challenge Returning to AQHA World Show

You are invited for PRIME TIME at 6 p.m., Saturday, November 16, when some of the most talented 3-year-old American Quarter Horses demonstrate their versatility in the Pleasure Versatility Challenge, brought to you by Terry Bradshaw Quarter Horses, during the 2019 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. Total purse for the 2018 event was more than $40,000 and all expectations are that this year’s purse will surpass that amount.

Horses will be shown sequentially in three classes in the Jim Norick Arena: Versatility pattern class, sponsored by Cimarron Trailers, which counts 40 percent; western pleasure class, sponsored by The Equine Chronicle, which counts 40 percent; and a conformation class also sponsored by The Equine Chronicle, which counts 20 percent.

In addition to the cash awards, the winner of the pattern and western pleasure classes will receive show headstalls, and the winner of the conformation class will receive a show halter, all provided by the Official Tack Sponsor of the Pleasure Versatility Challenge – Blue Ribbon Custom Tack.  In addition to these class awards, the reserve winner in the western pleasure class will receive a Chuck Letchworth Bits & Spurs show bit. The overall champion will receive a custom-made Champion Belt Buckle, provided by Holly Spagnola Design.

Horses cannot have been shown ASTRIDE in any western riding, trail or in any similar Pleasure Versatility Challenge event prior to the Lucas Oil World official entry deadline of September 16. As of the official entry deadline of September 16, and thereafter, horses may be shown without restriction at any competition, including the All American Quarter Horse Congress, without forfeiting Pleasure Versatility Challenge eligibility. There remains no eligibility restrictions for the western pleasure or conformation classes.
