If you’re looking for a good time at the 2018 AQHA Convention, get your flock to the Foundation in Paradise party March 3 at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront in Jacksonville, Florida.
You can get in the door to the paradise-themed party – bring your flip-flops and best paradise-inspired attire – for just $20 per person, which gets you access to the games, food-truck delights and a cash bar. A concert featuring the Bellamy Brothers is included – and you certainly can’t get snacks and concert tickets for $20 anymore!
“The Foundation is a place for everyone,” says Anna Morrison, chief officer of the American Quarter Horse Foundation. “We are a family of people who are passionate about horses. This party is going to be fun, affordable and open to everyone.”
Before the first beat of the concert drops, you’ll be able to mingle with your friends and play several interactive games – Rope a Flamingo, She Sells Seashells and Seahorse Racing – for the chance to win drink tickets, signed America’s Horse in Art prints, or signed and numbered Orren Mixer prints.
Tickets are also being sold for a draw-down raffle for a trip for four to the 2018 Kentucky Derby. The trip includes a hotel stay at the Lexington Downtown Hilton, private breeding farm tours, catered/private meals, mini-coach transportation to the Kentucky Derby and private seating in the Wicker Garden. The Wicker Garden features all-inclusive food and drink, as well as comfortable seating in a shaded area. First-round raffle tickets are $20 each; 20 winners advance to the second round during which 20 additional tickets are sold at $500 per ticket; five winners advance to the third round during which five more tickets are sold for $1,000 each. The winner of the trip is drawn from those 10 tickets. The drawing for the winner will occur at the party, but the winner doesn’t have to be present to win. To purchase raffle tickets, call Foundation Development Coordinator Elizabeth Ellis at 806-378-5029.
