The 2018 Dixie Nationals Quarter Horse Show wrapped up in Jackson, Mississippi over the weekend. The self-described “Southern Classic,” kicked off with an AQHA Equestrians With Disabilities Show followed by four AQHA shows that were also NSBA and PHBA approved.
Judges were Leonard Berryhill, Dean Bogart, Terry Thompson, Bob Kail, Bruce Walquist, Steve Brown, Marti Jo Hay, Kathryn Kope, and Alan Mitchels.
In addition to high stakes competition in AQHA events, competitors enjoyed the Moonlight Madness on Friday night in the Trade Show area from 9-11 pm where shoppers burning the midnight oil were rewarded with door prizes and great food prior to the always popular Farnam Freestyle Reining event.
Congratulations goes to Tanner Tidmore, who was the winner of the 2018 Dixie National Scholarship that was sponsored by the Mississippi Amateur Quarter Horse Association.
