Dear Texas Quarter Horse Youth Association members who have been directly impacted by the worst storm in over a 1,000 year period, Hurricane Harvey. Please know that you are in my direct prayers and thoughts.

If there is ANYONE of you, our members, that need help with basics supplies and needs, you can count on us to assist you, if at all possible. Hundreds of you support us all year long with your time, donations, and heart, assisting us with so many fun-filled and exceptional horse related activities. We appreciate that so much! In fact, without all of you, we couldn’t do all we do. Texas truly is the best!

It is in times of national crisis like this that life and the purpose of why we all come together in any association far outweighs other isssues at hand. So, today we focus not on a horse show, a trophy, any fundraiser, or future event. We are focused on you, our TQHYA members in the eye of Hurricane Harvey.

As your elected leader, I want you to know that nothing is more important than all of your safety and emotional support during these times and in the days following as you recover. We are here for you. As I too, am in the flooding and understand how traumatic and uncertain this is.

Please private message me directly, and I will get any needs that you may have to our board and officers to see how we can best assist any of our members who’ve been hit directly by Hurricane Harvey. As your current President of TQHYA 2017, I give each youth member the assurance that you all are cared for and prayed for during these historical times in our beautiful state.

We may not be together in person right now, but we are here for you in spirit. Be safe and know that your TQHYA officers and board care and are concerned for each of you! We can’t control the weather or perform miracles, but we are here if you need any special assistance.

God bless you and God bless Texas!

Trails,

Tatum Richey
TQHYA President 2017
