Happy Mother’s Day to Horse Show Moms Everywhere!

It’s Mother’s Day and that means it’s time to honor devoted horse show moms everywhere!

They are our tireless cheerleaders, our personal grooms, our ringside psychologists. They are our chauffeurs, our horse haulers, our personal chefs. They are our travel directors, our barn managers, our hairdressers.

Always ready with an extra safety pin, a swipe of lipstick, and a last minute kiss good luck, they are our biggest fans and toughest critics. They sacrifice their time, energy, (and pocketbooks) to ensure we have the very best chance for success in the show pen, and in life.

You would be hard-pressed to find an equestrian, of any discipline, who doesn’t credit his or her mother with much of his or her success. On that note, we’d like to celebrate horse show moms everywhere, without whom winning the blue ribbons, belt buckles, and trophies simply wouldn’t be a reality, or mean quite as much.
