New Amateur Progeny Rewards Program Coming to Breeders’ Halter Futurity in the New Year

Calling all Halter horse enthusiasts! The Breeders’ Halter Futurity Board of Directors is very happy to announce a brand new program that will be put into effect in the coming year. Now, there’s more incentive for exhibitors to purchase direct from the source, while at the same time supporting the stallion owners that make the BHF such a resounding success.
The Details: Amateur Progeny Rewards Program
This program will pay additional bonus money to weanling foals (eligible for the Amateur Weanling Classes) that are purchased directly from one of the current Amateur Stallion owners.
The following pay schedule will be per Amateur Weanling Class:
- 1st place: $5,000
- 2nd place: $3,000
- 3rd place: $2,000
- 4th place: $1,500
- 5th place: $1,000
- 6th place: $ 800
- 7th place: $ 650
- 8th place: $ 500
- 9th place: $ 350
- 10th place: $ 200
Please note that this new program will not affect any other bonus payouts.
Also, the Breeders’ Halter Futurity is excited to announce the dates for the 2017 event: September 13-17. Click here to view a tentative schedule. Judges for the show will be Jon Barry, John Boxell, Steve Ferguson, Clint Fullerton, John Lawrence, and Carl Yamber.
