Can you spot Dodger?
On occasion, four-legged critters (of the non-equine variety) like to join in on all the fun we’re having at horse shows.
Case in point, the swooping bat during the Western Pleasure Finals at the 2013 AQHA Youth World Show and the friendly cat with her kittens during English classes last year.
Earlier this week, competitors in the 14-18 Showmanship finals at the AjPHA Youth World Show had an extra obstacle they needed to keep an eye out for. Meet “Dodger” the Dive Bombing Showmanship Bird…
Unlike the stray bird that occasionally finds itself lost in the arena without a convenient exit strategy, this particular bird loves Showmanship and enjoyed following competitors through the duration of their patterns.
Who knows if Dodger will make an appearance in an upcoming event…
