The 2016 Western Pleasure Super Sires event will be here before we know it! WPSS is looking forward to this year’s event – to be held again in conjunction with the Tom Powers Triple Challenge Futurity. The Tom Powers event will be held from June 29th through July 3rd at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs, Michigan. The Western Pleasure Super Sires classes will take place on July 1st and 2nd.
WPSS has paid out over $219,000 in just three years and 2016 is adding even more incentive for owners of WPSS foals! This year, WPSS eligible offspring can compete in one of three classes: Santé Medical Aesthetics Non-Pro Yearling Longe-Line that will pay $5,000 to first place, Equine Chronicle Limited Non-Pro Three Year Old Western Pleasure that will pay $10,000 to first place and Equine Chronicle Open Non-Pro Three Year Old Western Pleasure that will pay $10,000 to first place.
This year, WPSS has some wonderful sponsors on board including the class sponsors Santé Medical Aesthesis and The Equine Chronicle. Blue Ribbon saddles will be given away to the winners of the three-year-old classes. We would also like to thank Tom Powers, Nutrena, Courtsey Promotions, Pulse Vet, Rod Patrick Bootmakers, Cinch/Cruel Girl, Marrita Black, and Just Stitch It for their contributions to this event. Please visit www.westernpleasuresupersires.com for more information on our sponsors and links to their websites. Supporting those who support our event is a great way to say thank you.
Nomination deadline is almost here! Visit the WPSS website to find out if your foal is eligible and to make necessary nominations before the April 30th deadline. Entries are due June 10, 2016 to avoid the late fee.
