In need of a barn cat? 25 feral/semi feral cats have been seized from Farmers Branch, TX. Their elderly caretaker had opened her doors “literally” to them, and when she was badly injured in a fall in her house, the city had to come in and remove them from the home.
All 25 are currently being kept at the Farmers Branch shelter. They will not be euthanized, however, they need to be placed in good homes as soon as possible so the shelter can take in adoptable cats.
Because these are feral/semi feral cats, they would be best suited for life in a barn instead of being a house cat. Anyone looking for a good mouser or two?
There is no adoption fee, and the city will have them spayed/neutered, vaccinated and ear tipped before placement. The folks at Cat Connection are happy to help transport them to any barns in the Dallas/Fort Worth/ North Texas area.
If you would like to adopt one of these beautiful cats, contact the Farmers Branch Animal Adoption Center and ask for Miguel. Or, contact Errin West at Cat Connection via Facebook, phone, or email.
