Filed under: Club & Show News,Club and Show News |

From NSBA:

The National Snaffle Bit Association reminds members that the qualifying period for participation in the 2024 NSBA World Championship Show will end April 30, 2024.

Qualifying is achieved through participation in each desired class at Dual-Approved events or Special Events. In Open classes, the horse, and in Amateur and Youth classes, the horse and rider, will be required to participate in the corresponding Dual-Approved class a minimum of five times during the qualifying period, which began May 1, 2023, and ends April 30, 2024.

Those horses and/or riders who do not qualify through the qualification period can still enter their classes with an additional $150 qualification fee.

Horses and riders who qualify and are registered with one of NSBA’s recognized Color Breed associations may also compete in both Color and All Breed world championship classes for which they are qualified. Please note that NSBA’s Green eligibility requirements are based on points status as of January 1 of the current year, and NSBA’s Novice eligibility requirements are also based on points status as of January 1 of the current show year.

Exhibitors who become Amateurs in 2024 must qualify by competing in Amateur classes. Please note that Youth classes shown in the prior year do not count toward Amateur qualification. However, participation on horses during the qualifying period in 2023 that age from Junior to Senior divisions in 2024 will count toward qualification for the Senior division. Limited rider classes in Trail and Western Riding require qualification.

To view all classes that require qualification and/or to verify qualification status for a horse or rider on the NSBA website at nsba.com/qualifying.
