2021 March to the Arch Moves to Texas

Filed under: Club & Show News,Club and Show News,Featured |

By: Brittany Bevis

Having long been held in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, the March To The Arch horse show is making a big move to Texas in 2021. The event is scheduled to take place March 10-14, 2021 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

While the location might be different, one thing that hasn’t changed is that the MTTA is still a fundraising event for cancer research. Along with the move, the funds raised from next year’s event will go to the Cook Children’s Hematology and Oncology Hospital in Fort Worth.

In addition to the regular schedule of AQHA classes, there will be two, new, BIG MONEY, slot classes. The 3 & Over Novice Horse Western Pleasure slot class will pay $50,000 to the winner. The 3 & Over Novice Horse Hunter Under Saddle slot class will pay $20,000 to the winner. Both classes are open to all breeds and will offer incentives to non-pro, limited open, and intermediate open riders and maiden horses.

Western Pleasure Class Details

Payouts for the Western Pleasure slot class will be based upon the sale of 40 total slots at $5,000 a slot, and all slot monies will go into the pot. The 41st entry will be auctioned off on the MTTA Facebook page. If less than 40 slots are sold, MTTA has the right to change the payout schedule. However, if more than 30 slots are sold, first place is still guaranteed $50,000. Payouts will be distributed at the show! No horse nomination is needed. Just purchase a slot.
