MOSCOW, Idaho – The Appaloosa Youth Association (AYA) is pleased to announce the results of the 2021 AYA Director elections.
To qualify, each candidate must be between the ages of 12-17 and reside in the territory that he/she wishes to represent. The newly appointed AYA Directors will serve a one to two-year term, depending on eligibility.
AYA Directors participate in conference calls, host local fundraisers and events promoting the AYA, and gather at the World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show to discuss matters concerning the AYA. During these occasions, directors are to bring forth suggestions and ideas from the AYA members residing in their territory and zone in order to continuously to improve the AYA.
Newly elected officials are listed below and will be sworn in during the spring conference call.
Territory I: Shelby Aldinger, Minnesota
Territory III: Maisen Gores, Wisconsin
Territory III: Anthony Mahloch, Wisconsin
Territory IV: Taylor Silkert, Florida
Territory V: Stephaine Strachar, Delaware
Territory V: Julius Culwell, Mississippi
Territory VI: Olivia Johnson, Massachusetts
Territory VI: Emily Snippert, Pennsylvania
The AYA is the youth affiliate of the Appaloosa Horse Club. Officially approved in 1981, the AYA was the first youth program developed to complement an equine breed association.
