ApHC Board of Directors Begin Search for New National Show Site

Because of continuing uncertainty over COVID-19, the ApHC Board of Directors reluctantly withdrew from its contract to hold the 2021 National & World Championship Appaloosa Youth Shows in Indianapolis, Indiana.  ApHC President Ken Johnson said the search will begin immediately to find an alternative site for next year’s show.

2020 AQHA World Show Wrap Up- All the Articles, Videos, and Photos!

The 2020 AQHA World Championship Show was one for the record books capping off what was a very unusual show season for most folks. Due to numerous show changes and cancellations throughout the year, as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event hosted not only World Show classes but also the Adequan Select World Championship Show, AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals, and Adequan Level 2 and Nutrena Level 1 Championships. During the event, more than 2,100 exhibitors and 2,700 horses racked up more than 7,500 entries.

Results From Fall Triangle Sale at AQHA World Show

Buyers drove sales to an 85 percent sales completion with a top-10 average of $55,700 and top-50 average of $28,000. The strong sales also prompted the inclusion of 106 horses into Triangle’s coveted Top $10,000 Club, designated for horses bringing $10,000 and more. Jim Ware, owner of Triangle Horse Sales, credits the Fall Sale as the venue’s best ever in offering top-quality horses throughout all disciplines.

AQHA World Championship Collegiate Horse Judging Contest Results

During the 2020 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show, Oklahoma State University took home the title of AQHA collegiate horse judging world champions in the senior college division, while Northeastern Oklahoma claimed the world title in the junior college division. Top individual honors were awarded to Jenna Scali of Oklahoma State University in the senior college division and Jewel Bibelheimer of Northeastern Oklahoma took home the top individual title in the junior college division.

Exhibitors Competed For More Than $2.2 Million Purse at AQHA World

That’s a wrap on the largest AQHA World Show in history! During the Farnam AQHA World Championship Show; AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan); AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals; and the Adequan® Level 2 and Nutrena Level 1 championships, more than 7,500 entries, 2,100 exhibitors and 2,700 horses competed for nearly 150 Farnam AQHA and Adequan® Select world championships, and nearly 150 Adequan® Level 2, Nutrena Level 1 and AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals championships. The event, which was November 2-21 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City, was held in accordance with local, state and federal coronavirus mandates and was closed to the general public.
