There was a time, not so long ago, when a long mane would never have been found in the all-around pen – particularly not in a pattern class like Horsemanship or Trail. As short, banded manes gained in popularity for their ability to show off a horse’s neck and reflect a precise, polished look, they became a standard in most all-around classes.
Continue reading …We had a great turnout to our Swing into Spring APHA 4-judge POR show in Statesboro, GA. This show was originally scheduled to take place in Florida at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center in Tampa, FL. Due to the COVID 19 closures, the show was cancelled at the last minute. However, the Georgia and Florida Paint Horse Clubs were able to pull off this last minute venue change. We are so thankful to our support staff at APHA, especially our Executive Director Billy Smith, Dave Dellin and the APHA Board of Directors as they assisted in helping this last minute venue change become a reality.
