2018 Horse Show Fashion Color of the Year is Blue

2018 is all about blue. We talked about red, teal, and the immortal black and gold…but THE color of 2018 is blue. I’m a huge fan of it, and I have inserted it in my color palette for this show season.

Black is classic; teal is exotic; red is passionate; and blue is the perfect mix between them: dark enough to be elegant and vibrant enough to be noticed and… different.

Blue is a really easy color to wear, and it can fit the image you want to give of yourself as a rider. Do you want to look serious and elegant? Then, you can pair it with silver, white, and light blue. Do you want to be noticed and have a fun, young look? Then, you can pair it with vibrant colors like fuchsia, turquoise and orange. For the arena queens, blue, gold and red are regal.

If you want to follow the top trends of the year, a combination of blue and teal is a must. In my opinion, it’s also a perfect tone for a complete set. I like to choose one color for every horse I show. I like him/her to have his/her own colors. Blue fits with a lot of horses and it’s appropriate for every discipline. The same applies for black, but blue has simply something more. It more glamorous.

The icing on the cake is a beautiful, well shaped, blue hat. Colored hat are gorgeous, and blue ones are extremely elegant.
