2017 Martinganza QH Show and Futurity

The Martinganza Quarter Horse Show and Futurity invites AQHA competitors to attend their 2017 event that’s scheduled for March 30th-April 2nd at the Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center in Williamston, NC. Judges for the AQHA, NCQHA, VQHA, and NSBA approved event will be Sara Simons, Jennifer Thompson, Patti Campbell, Lisa Moden, Kim Myers, David Johnson, and Jeramie West.
The event had over 5,700 entries in 2016. Four futurity classes will return to the schedule this year, each with $500 added: Green Hunter Under Saddle, Non Pro Hunter Under Saddle, Green Western Pleasure, and Non Pro Western Pleasure Futurity. A new addition this year is a non-AQHA Ranch Rail class that will be held prior to the Ranch Riding class.
Halter and Showmanship will be shown on Saturday to all five judges. Trail classes will be run at random on Thursday and Sunday during set times.
Martinganza will kick off with an Exhibitors’ Party on Friday. Dinner will be served in the main arena after the show, and the mechanical bull and DJ is back! Pick up dinner tickets by 10 am on Friday. Be sure to attend the church service on Sunday morning at 6:45 inside the concession area.
Awards for the show will include belt buckles, trophies, and picture frames.
Belt buckles- Martinganza All-Around Youth 13 & Under, Youth 14-18, High-Point Novice Amateur, Novice Youth, and Small-Fry Belt Buckles
High Point Trophies- Open Reining, Non-Pro Reining
The flat fee for the show is $375 for five judges for AQHA portion, which includes a stall, three bags of shavings, office charge, and AQHA drug fee.
Stalls paid before March 15th are $125 and include three bags of shavings. Stalls paid after March 15th are $150 and include three bags of shavings.
