With an impressive ride, Jack Medows piloted Chicsdreamofdiamonds (Magnum Chic Dream x Princess In Diamonds) as draw 31 out of a field of 32 to a score of 218.5. The duo claimed the title of Cinch NRHA Non Pro Level (L)4 Champion as well as the Youth Non Pro Championship.

A Mission Statement Task Force, chaired by Executive Committee member Dr. Craig Wood, spearheaded the effort to develop a memorable mission statement that encapsulated APHA’s goals while remaining clear and concise. The committee solidified the clean, new statement in a final meeting at the 2016 APHA World Championship Show, and the Executive Committee adopted the statement at their November 10 meeting.

The association’s Executive Committee voted to eliminate the $100 transported cooled/frozen semen permit fee and, earlier this year, voted to lower the cost of entry into APHA’s Breeders’ Trust incentive program as a way of rewarding breeders for their commitment to breeding Paint Horses.
