Back by popular demand, the Midwest Horse Fair will feature two nights of Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned Rodeo at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI on April 15 & 16, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. Keeping inline with the 2016 theme, “The Sky’s the Limit”, each show will be a thrilling spectacle of great family entertainment packed into the 8,000 seat Coliseum.
The Friday PRCA Rodeo is proudly sponsored by Nutrena and the Saturday PRCA Rodeo is proudly sponsored by Blain’s Farm & Fleet. The seven standard rodeo events will be held: Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping and Barrel Racing. The crowd will be in for a treat with several specialty acts performing between the standard rodeo events.
The Midwest Horse Fair is proud to welcome 13-time PRCA Specialty Act of the Year, John Payne, the One Arm Bandit, along with a couple of his longhorn steers. Together they put on a dare-devil act unlike any other! Joining Payne will be long time friend and fellow performer, Bink Picard and Payne’s grandson, Patrick Prater, who is following in Payne’s footsteps as a one-of-a-kind entertainer.
The 2016 Fair will also welcome three-time PRCA Comedy Act of the Year, and barrelman, John Harrison. Harrison is a high energy, trick riding, rodeo clown with a quick wit and lively performance. Whether you are coming to the rodeo to be entertained, awed or humored, Harrison is a crowd pleaser.
Tickets for each PRCA Rodeo are on sale through Ticketmaster. Prices are $7.00 for Bargain Seating, $12.00 for Regular Seating, and $25.00 for Premium Seating. Seating is assigned. A separate general admission ticket is required for entry to the Midwest Horse Fair if arriving before 6:00 p.m. In 2015, the Midwest Horse Fair PRCA Rodeo sold out a week prior and the 2016 PRCA Rodeo is on pace to do the same.
