Mark your calendar for all of the events at the 2014 American Quarter Horse Association Convention March 7-10 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in New Orleans.

As an organization that works for its members, AQHA holds an annual convention to review member-submitted rule changes, appoint new AQHA directors, induct new members into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and present year-end awards.

New this year, the AQHA Stud Book and Registration Committee is hosting a Breed Forum from 2-5 p.m. on March 9. The forum will include “By the Numbers,” presented by AQHA Treasurer Trent Taylor, and a continuation of a strategic planning session of the Studbook and Registration Committee to include open dialog with anyone interested in expressing opinions on how to move the breed forward.

Friday, March 7

7 p.m. – President’s Reception, presented by Zoetis

Saturday, March 8

8:30 a.m. – noon – Membership General Meeting

2-5 p.m. – Committee Meetings

7 p.m. – Awards Presentation Banquet

Sunday, March 9

8 a.m. – noon – Committee Meetings

Noon – 1:30 p.m. – American Quarter Horse Foundation Benefit Luncheon

2- 5 p.m. – Breed Forum, hosted by the AQHA Stud Book and Registration Committee

2-5 p.m. – Committee Meetings

6 p.m. – American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame Inductions Banquet

Monday, March 10

9- 11 a.m. – Membership Business Meeting
