After a long ten days of competition, the 2014 AjPHA Youth World Championship Show is a wrap! Competitors from all over the United States gathered in Fort Worth, Texas, for the elite event. In addition, several international equestrians made appearances from Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Holland, and France.
Did the elimination of the qualifying requirement for the Youth World Show this year have an effect on entry numbers? Only time will tell, but early estimates of 300+ horses in attendance appear positive. Undoubtedly, some of the largest classes of the horse show could be found in the 14-18 division, both in the regular 14-18 and Novice Youth divisions.
All of the World and Reserve World Champions have since been crowned, but there are still a few big winners left to congratulate. Three $1,000 scholarships were presented to the All-Around Youth 13 and Under, All-Around 14-18 and All-Around Novice Youth winners.
