Even though the difficulty level was intense, competitors and their horses rose to the challenge scoring some incredibly high marks. When it was announced that the tenth place horse had marked a 227, it was clear that the judges rewarded exhibitors accordingly.

“I’ve never made the finals before, so I was thrilled with just that,” she says. “This is just a complete bonus. It hasn’t quite sunk in yet.”

To look at the smiling face and witness the exuberant personality of AQHA youth, Rebecca Anderson, you’d never know she had to overcome some difficult circumstances to attend the Youth World Show this year.
