13 and Under and 14-18 AjPHA Equitation World Champions Are Olivia Eagles and Kelsey Jung

This evening’s equitation classes truly belonged to the experienced equestrian as challenging patterns and demanding rail work separated the girls from the ladies. First up in the 13 and under equitation, 14 entries tried their best amidst turns, diagonal changes, and lope circles to claim the top spot.

When all was said and done it was Olivia Eagles aboard Chipped In Roses that were named the World Champions for the third year in a row. In 2012, Eagles was named the World Champion in both the Novice Youth Equitation and 13 and Under Equitation, a streak she continued with a 13 and Under Equitation win in 2013. This evening, Eagles’ hunter-jumper roots shone through with pristine position and pattern perfection.

Coming in Reserve was Skylar Smith with Just One Kiss. Third place was Hannah Stokan with A Spot In Heaven. Fourth was Caroline Nielson with Sensational Dee. Rounding out the top five was Talyn Smith was Sensational Me.

Next up was the 14-8 Equitation, where 40 entries were challenged with forehand turns, hand gallops, lead changes, and rail work without stirrups. Coming back from a Reserve World Champion finish in 2013 was Kelsey Jung who claimed the World Champion title this evening. The Reserve World Champion was Kassandra Jones with Chasinthesensation. Third place was Sarah Orsak aboard My Cowboy Cadillac. Fourth place was Alexis Sage Miller with Thanks For Zip En Me. Rounding out the top five was Drew Rogers with Shez Eye Candy.
