$10.2 Million Renovation of IL Coliseum Hoping to be Completed by July 20th

According to the Springfield Business Journal, a construction company has been awarded a contract to renovate the Coliseum at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. It’s an ambitious project, because it’s been given a July 20th completion date for the $10.2 million project.
Apparently, the Coliseum is in disrepair and has been closed since 2016, limiting the number of events that can be held in Springfield, Illinois.
